Still Waters Counseling is a growing practice specializing in the holistic
treatment of mental and behavioral disorders. We are also a Licensed provider of
Substance Abuse Treatment. Started within a home office in
2000 and originally known as Hudson Family Therapy, the practice now serves two
communities: Adrian and Saline.
Still Waters Counseling, LLC became our official name in
2004. The name represents our attempt as therapists to be still and reflective,
as well
as the peace and calm that we hope our clients will attain through counseling.
This is a culturally and ethnically diverse practice.
Clinicians at Still Waters come from varying backgrounds and have different areas of expertise. However, the common link is utilizing the Family Systems framework in our work with clients.
This framework involves viewing the client as part of a larger system, including other family members and community agencies. Practitioners at Still Waters are very active in communicating with others who are part of the system surrounding the client, With the client's consent, clinicians actively include systems or
individuals in treatment who can provide support to the client in resolving
their personal issues.
Due to the multiple areas of expertise of our clinicians and our utilization of
the Family Systems framework, we are able to offer many different types of
services:

Individual Counseling for issues such as grief
and loss, depression, anxiety, phobias, anger management, & addictive behaviors.

Family Counseling for child
behavior problems, ADHD, childhood anxiety and depression, strengthening of
parenting skills.

Family Counseling for relationship
issues, divorce, co-parenting, and step-family issues.

Psychological Evaluations for
child custody, ADHD, and learning disabilities.

Outpatient Group Therapy
Insurance Plans Accepted:
Most insurance plans are accepted including BCBSM, BCN, MESSA,
Cofinity, Magellan, CIGNA, Priority Health, Aetna, and certain Medicaid HMOs.
You
can call our office and we will assist you in verifying your insurance
benefits.
We also accept referrals from Lenawee,
Hillsdale, Washtenaw, and Jackson County
