Bridget Young, M.S., TLLP
Bridget is a graduate of University of Michigan, holding a master’s degree in Clinical Health Psychology(MS, TLLP). After completed an internship at the Jackson County Intermediate School District, she became passionate about helping young people with cognitive and behavioral challenges. Bridget has completed courses and observation hours in education, as well as school psychology and finds working with adolescents especially rewarding. She has also volunteered in educational settings for many years as a Junior Achievement Teacher, basketball coach, as well as in crisis pregnancy centers. Before coming to Still Waters, she worked in a psychiatric setting in Jackson, Michigan for individuals with chronic, severe mental illness and substance dependency concerns.
Currently, Bridget provides a wide range of psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults at Still Waters Counseling and has experience in leading mindfulness based therapy in both individual and group settings. Though she employs a wide range of therapeutic modalities (including CBT, insight based therapy, and mindfulness), she approaches all of her clients with a holistic mindset and a belief that we are all capable of living our best life when our physical and mental needs are balanced. Bridget has been practicing yoga since 2000, and above all enjoys spending quality time with her three teenage children.
